The Entrepreneurship Institute (EI) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invite qualified candidates to apply for a startup executive position (Technology Commercialization Analyst).

The EI is an interdisciplinary entity that works with all the colleges in the university. The Institute is committed to underpinning the efforts of building entrepreneurial mindsets that will lead to high growth, high-tech entrepreneurial startups as well as graduate entrepreneurial leaders.

The Technology Commercialization Analyst will collaborate with entrepreneurs, researchers, and innovators to form startups based on their inventions and innovations. Evaluate the market viability of potential technologies, assessing factors like competition, customer needs, and pricing strategy. Create strategies for bringing the technology to market through start-up formation. Identify and build relationships with companies, investors, and other stakeholders interested in the technology. Work closely with the KFUPM- Innovation and Technology Transfer department in the process of making startup formation success.

1. M.Sc. or MBA degree in Technology Commercialization\ Entrepreneurship and Innovation or relevant degree
2. Understanding of intellectual property (IP) law and procedures.
3. Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
4. A minimum of 3-5 years of technology commercialization in a tech-based or industrial incubator\TTO\IP firm or related organization.

• Strong understanding of startup formation based on inventions and innovations.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property law and technology transfer processes.
• CTTP, CLP or other relevant certifications will be a plus point.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for innovation.
